Join us and see history come to life!
The Bartholomew County Historical Society (BCHS) was organized on April 3, 1921. It's founders were George Pence, W.G. Irwin, Vida Newsom, W.H. Newsom, Hugh Th. Miller, D.J. Richards, J.R. Dunlap, and Yandell C. Cline. The groups stated purpose was ".....actively engage in the collection, preservation and dissemination of County and State history..."
Our goal is that we may know who we are today based on where we came from yesterday.
