Welcome to History Education in Action for the 12th Year!

The Publicity Group for “Spring on the Old Family Farm 2011” created this educational website to transport rural Bartholomew County history into the 21st Century and the age of information technology. Visit this informative and fun website daily to learn about all the behind the scenes activities taking place at Central Middle School by select members of the 8th Grade Class of 2011. All the hard work and planning for the May 12th and 13th events held at the historical Henry Breeding Farm. Read updates posted by all students involved in making history come to life.

This is the 12th year for this annual educational outing attended by hundreds of area 3rd and 4th grade students, their teachers, and interested family members. The two day event is open to the public on each day from 10am to 1pm.

Partnering with the Bartholomew County Historical Society, who owns and maintains the historical farm house, barns and grounds, the 60 plus students producing this year’s “Spring on the Old Family Farm” help the community learn about this preserved rural historic treasure.
